We are delighted to announce that Sovereign has been purchased by Pauline Fletcher and like her other horses the plan is that he will be competed by Ruth Edge. Congratulations Pauline and Sovereign!

Sovereign is a strong colt with long legs, correct conformation and very powerful uphill movement. He carries some of the highest proven International competition genes in his pedigree.

We have named him Larkshill Sovereign as we feel sure he will rule his world one day!

July 2014 Update
Sovereign and Ruth Edge win again at Great Witchingham. Sovereign impressed again with a 28.5 dressage and super double clear to win his Novice class. Well done Ruth and Sovereign and congrats to his wonderful owner Pauline Fletcher!

August 2013 Update
Another amazing win for Larkshill Sovereign and Ruth Edge at Skipton horse trials in the 5 year old class! Sovereign and Ruth were the convincing winners, getting a score of 10 for their dressage (the equivalent to 90% in pure dressage!) this is the best ever eventing dressage score Ruth has been awarded and they got four 10's! They finished on a score of 15.60. Huge congratulations to his owner Pauline Fletcher and to his rider Ruth Edge from a very proud breeder!

August 2012 Update
Sovereign and Ruth do it again -this time winning overall! At Milton Keynes eventing centre they had a fabulous dressage score 26.5 and then went on to have a double clear cross county and show jumping so won the 4 year old class - Brilliant result!

July 2012 Update
Wonderful news Sovereign ridden by Ruth Edge has qualified for the Burghley Young Event Horse Final at his first attempt! This was his first ever competition and there were 77 in the class and he came 2nd, with very good scores. Huge congratulations to his owner Pauline Fletcher and to his rider Ruth Edge.

Sovereign is one of the first foals to be born in the UK by the sensational German Champion Stallion Kaiserkult. He is a born athlete and whilst he was bred for the dressage ring we believe he could also have a future in eventing, through his TB blood on the dam and sire line and the jumping blood from Elite stallion Sixtus. Sire Kaiserkult TSF
"Harmonie Pur." That is how judge Christoph Hess described Kaiserkult, the Champion of the 6-year old class at the 2004 Bundeschampionate. Ridden by Dorothee Schneider, Kaiserkult floated through the arena excelling in all three gaits and overall harmony with his rider. Kaiserkult was approved all across Germany in 2006. Kaiserkult is a stallion of exceptional movement quality. His trot is at an optimum with tremendous power, flexion in the haunches, suppleness and front arm extravaganza. His canter is very uphill and of outstanding balance. Kaiserkult TSF will be showing at Inter I+II levels in 2007.

Dam St.Pr.& Pr.St. Saturday Night Fever
Saturday Night Fever is an athletic, impressive daughter of Elite Stallion Buddenbrock who thrills with her powerful uphill movement and striking looks. She was awarded Premium marks at her grading in Germany and successfully passed her performance test in 2004. In 2006 she was also awarded the prestigious State Premium Status.

Her sire Elite Stallion Buddenbrock is a sensational stallion. He was Premium graded in Neumünster 1996. He has over 10 graded sons including 3 Champion stallions - an amazing feat as many of his graded sons have also gone on to sire graded Stallions. In 2000 from his first crop of foals he produced 3 graded sons including the Premium & Champion Stallion King Arthur. He went on to produce the 2003 Premium and Champion stallion In Flagranti and Premium stallion Armano, Ippon in 2004 and Glenn Grant in 2007. He is used extensively in the Hanoverian Studbook as a refiner. He has numerous Premium and State Premium daughters including Saturday Night Fever! Her dam Salome brings the all important refining thoroughbred blood to the pedigree through the stallion Langata Express. Langata Express has proven himself to be a very valuable dam sire. The 2004 World Championships' bronze medallist Amidou, ridden by Dr. Ulf Möller, was by Alcatraz out of a Langata Express xx dam. Salome was one of the best graded mares in 1994 receiving 9's for walk, trot and over all impression. Salome is one of the few graded thoroughbred daughters to be accepted into the Trakehner Stud book and was included in the G. P. -program of the Verband. Salome's dam has been awarded the Elite title.
